To Say Goodbye

It’s a burning in your chest,
And a sorrow in your heart,
The bitter cold in your lungs,
And the missing part of your soul.
The way the world changes,
People come and go.
Those you loved so dearly,
That made such impacts,
In your life.
Don’t take them for granted,
They only have limited time,
To be with you,
To teach you,
To guide you.
Listen to their stories,
Take their words of wisdom to heart,
And when they need you most. . .
BE THERE.
Your biggest regret could be
Not being there when it mattered most,
Especially to them.
It’s that can’t eat,
Can’t sleep feeling
In the pit of your stomach,
So deep
That it makes you want to cry.
It’s the pain that you may have never felt before.
It’s that not being there regret.
Worst of all,
It’s that chance you COULD’VE had,
But didn’t. . .
To say Goodbye.
